Details on our School Uniform

In Kilnadeema N.S. children are afforded the opportunity to wear a formal school uniform or a school tracksuit depending on their daily needs but also being mindful of sensory issues children may experience.

Pupils from Junior Infants to First Class can wear either the school tracksuit or the school uniform any day.

We believe it is important to give children an element of choice allowing them to wear clothing suitable to their daily activities.

Formal Uniform
Royal blue jumper / cardigan
Navy pinafore / skirt / trousers
Pale blue shirt (Not a polo shirt)
Navy tie for special occasions

Dark footwear whilst desirable is not essential.

School Tracksuit
Plain navy percale tracksuit bottoms
Royal blue crested sweatshirt
Pale blue polo shirt.
Runners: Astroturf runners are strictly forbidden.

Pale blue polo shirts and plain navy Bermuda shorts (NO LOGOS / DESIGN) only are acceptable from May 1st on or at the discretion of the principal depending on the weather.

We endeavour to respect the needs and comfort of the children and in return ask that children respect our school uniform.  We expect that pupils will wear their school uniform each day.  The uniform should not be a combination of PE uniform and formal uniform.
No denim jeans or cords will be accepted.
If a child has to come to school without his / her uniform, we respectfully ask that a note of explanation be sent to the Principal.

Uniforms are available in Dervans, Loughrea.
Also available online or instore at the Schoolwear Centre, Galway. http://www.theschoolwearcentre.ie/
