Manning Cup 2019
On Thursday, May 9th, boys and girls from Junior Infants to 6th class competed in the Manning Cup Athletics event. The children thoroughly enjoyed the evening and competed in a wide range of events from relays to hurdles to the long jump. The children did themselves, their parents and the school proud on the day.
We did not come home empty handed either. The children's heroic efforts were rewarded with first place in both the boys and girls competition. Congratulations to all involved.

What is the Active School Flag?
This year one of our initiatives is to renew the Active School Flag Award!!
Traditionally our school has always been very active. Now we want to celebrate our activities and share it with the world! The Active School Flag is awarded to schools who are encouraging children to get up and move in whatever way they can. If you wish to read up on the initiative, why not click here!

Rainy days!!
During the winter, weather doesn't always permit us to go outside. Across the school, we partake in indoor exercises to keep us active on the rainy days. Go Noodle is used in younger classes and we have lots of fun following the routines. To find more fun activities, please follow this link
PE Station fun!
By creating stations at different parts of the yard, we are able to utillise the maximum amount of space that we have for our PE classes. More stations = More fun!
